Thumbs up Gauges are Finally In!

Finally got these damn things in. Finished the install on the third day, everything seemed to go wrong, so I pretty much did everything twice

This is a triple gauge pillar with Trans Temp, Water Temp, and A/F Ratio. All are Autometer Carbon Fiber Ultra-Lites. Check out the pics and if you have any questions let me know! Thanks!

PICS at the bottom of the page

There is a place called E-Gauges which has the cheapest, Summit Racing (where I got mine), was the next cheapest, and Jegs was the most expensive, the price differene between all three places?, 9 cents. I went with Summit because with normal ground shipping it will get here the next day, and they had the K&N air filter cleaning kit which E-Gauges did not have. For the water temp I needed an adapter, E-Gauges had it for a couple dollars, but Summit had it for $10!! Oh well.

The pillar I got used from a guy real cheap, but you can get it at these three places, and Tybrne, but Tybrne doesn't have the gauges I wanted. If you want to install your own gauges, I can help you out with every step, now that I actually did it, it should take you one to two days with my help.

Hey looks nice, i bought a dual gauge pillar the same exact type of gauges as you(the carbon fiber ones). I was wondering if the gauges light up at night? I didnt install them yet and i was wondering. I got the air fuel ratio and vaccum gauge btw. Thanks

Yes they light up. The gauges should come with a twist in light, the black thing on the back and has two wires coming out. The individual numbers and tick marks don't light up like the ones on the speedo and tach, but the light comes around the edge of the face and the light shines on the face. They come with little covers that you can put over the bulb to make the light red or green. I left those off and I think it looks a little better without them. I haven't driven at night yet with the gauges so I don't know exactly how they look. I'm sure they will look good

That look really good.

Just a question.

If you have the water temp up there now, is the one on the dash still functional? Why have two of them? Just wondering.

Yep, there are three locations for the water temp sender. By cylinder 1, by cylinder 8, and above the starter. The stock location is by the #1 cylider, so I left that along so the stock one would still work, and I put another sender above the starter. I got two of them because the stock gauge is a dummy gauge, and will tell you the same temp pretty much no matter what. For some reasone the new gauge reads the exact same and the stock one, meaning my car is probably running a little hot.

Catsnet: I see that those leds are damn bright, I'll see how it goes before I remove it
