gauges

(i think this is where this would go?)

hello. i have a 1994 z28 that came with the 110 mph speedometer. i understand that you can swap out the entire gauge cluster in order to get the 150 mph speedometer. is it possible to just get a different speedo gear or something and then a 150 mph overlay? sorry if this topic has been posted about before but i couldnt really find any threads that discussed this. if anyone knows of any or has any advice im open.

thanks a lot,
adam

Re: gauges

The speedometer is electronic and does not use a gear. You can get the hole cluster off ebay for like $50.

Re: gauges

if i swap out the gauge cluster does my odometer get replaced too? if so, is there anyway i can change the new one to read the mileage that mine currently does now?

Re: gauges

The guage cluster contains your odometer and when you change the cluster, you will lose that mileage. I would shy away from trying to have the mileage on the new cluster changed to your old mileage, it could create some problems.
