I've done this many times. Make sure all the screws are out, and just pull it towards you. The harness is connected into the back, so just pull. Good luck.

The wires stay in place. they're connected to the dash itself behind the cluster. When you put the cluster back in, you just push it straight back, and the wires will connect then. You'll see how it's set up once you remove the cluster.

what it all just fits right in? i thought it was way more than just the speedometer gauge part, like differnet wires, and hook ups and stuff like that?

These guys have Trans Am dashes and 97+ Camaro Dashes they are pretty much the same.
Once you get the bolts out that hold it in place you just yank hard on it and it will unplug and come out. Also stone150 are you interested in selling your old cluster? I just swapped a 93 Trans Am dash into my car and the 93 cluster trip odometer doesn't work half the time. A little thing i know but i like to have one. I also think the 94-96 dashes are diff too. Let me know. Thanks
