Front Flip hood kit....
Front Flip hood kit....
Does anyone have a front flip hood on their Z ? (Viper Style)
Someone was talking about fabricating one on their 3rd gen, and I am interested in doing this on my 4th gen.

Are you talking about just flipping up the hood, or the hood and fenders?
If just the hood, is there room for the front of the hood to turn down? It's going to need room to flip down and I'm not sure there's room around the windshield washer reservoir. Make any sense?

If you located the hinge joint far enough forward the hood wouldn't have to dip down into the cars front end.......not sure how you would do that tastefully though on a camaro, I imagine it would be a bit easier on the pontiacs as they have a narrower frontal area for the hood.
Also if it's a glass hood you will want to reinforce it, If my hood is up with the engine running it shakes hard from the cam. I'd hate to see anyone get stress cracks. I would imagine doable with a little bit of work though.

Nope, It definately won't be that far forward... will need a dual action hinge that both opens and pops the hood up kinda...
