Thumbs down Fog Lights + Hi Beams = Problems?!

Just under a month ago, I rewired my fusebox to allow my hibeams and foglights to stay on together so I could see better with my blackouts using this site: http://www.tcnet.net/~dstorer/jf/fog.html

Anyways, I never had any problems before I did this on my 96 Camaro, but within the last week or so, I have had a burnt out passenger side headlight, both passenger side turn front signals, and since yesterday I have had trouble starting my car and had to boost it a couple of times. And then today, my 2 front signals burnt out again. When I replaced the signals the first time, the larger bulb's socket was completely melted and this might have lead to the reason why they blew again, but why would the socket be melted like that?

Anyways, I am sure the wiring was fine in the fusebox when I completed this and the lights worked fine together, but is all these burnouts/battery problems just coincidence? or do I have an electrical shortage now?

Also, has anyone reversed this wiring before or have any suggestions?

Any help or comments would be much appreciated.. - Thanks.

i did the same mod to my 97. i havent had any problems. the only thing has been that my ground came loose and the fog lights did not turn on. did you ground the wire coming out of the fuse box. also was it the light green wire.
