Lightbulb Fog Light Mounting

I was thinking of cutting out the area where the bowtie is and mounting some fog lights in there.Kinda like the C5R Corvettes have.Do you think that would look ok.I would put a peice of plexi over it to seal it and protect the lights.I'm just tired of replacing lights and lens all the time.

I was gonna do this - and after much thought - decided against it.

I was afraid it would open the "mouth" up too much and make it look sort of "fishy" like the LS1 cars. I think it would look a lot better with them mounted in the stock position.

Remember too - if you remove the whole center section where the bowtie is then you will have to do something to support the top so that it doesn't start to sag...the bottom may want to droop down too without having something holding it up - and you don't want a bigger hole there, do ya?

I wasn't planning on cutting the whole area out.Just the center of,leaving the outside edges for support, kinda like a frame and putting the lights inside the "box" that would be left.

That's what I figured you were talking about...

It may not look bad - and would definitely be different - but I still lean toward the stock location...just my opinion though. The stock location gives it a wider look if you know what I mean...

Ya I know what you are talking about.I have 3 1/2 in. in the stock locations now.
The are the Hella round lights.I was thinking of smaller round ones for exta light, because the roads I drive on are really dark with no street lights and alot of country roads.I was thinking of 2 1/2 in.like the Hella micro penciil beam lights.
