choice is yours but i think satin black would be cool. i'd imagine it would be cheaper to paint as well.

I like it, I don't know if I'd paint mine that color, but you're only a little bit away from a different color if you want it, just paint it the primer black at first and if you like it good, if not, it's not a big deal.

Another vote on satin black instead of flat black, by the way that TA looks nice.

TA looks like a road racer wihtout decals.

Matte black, hmm, no. as those wheel wells show, it makes everything dirty pop out 100x easier.

DO what you want with your car, just try not to start the next ricer movement.

So you want to take a perfectly good looking gloss black car and paint it satin black? Doesn't make much sense to me. And please, don't paint the wheels black. There's enough black on the car already. Too much is...well...too much!

As far as the satin black being less expensive than a gloss black paint job, nope. It's going to be about the same. I'd suspect the only difference will be in the cost of the paint. Considering how popular gloss black is, it'd probably actually be LESS expensive to paint it gloss.

Actually, the paint is pretty beat right now. Scuffs on all 4 corners, scratches, chips, spider webbing on front - so it's time for paint.
Just weighing my options. I'd like to be unique, but want to be sure it’s what I want before I commit.
Thanks!

Wagon wheels? Those are early C5 wheels dude. And are more kickass than any Z06 wheels put out.

Hmm, the hood throws me off on the looks, maybe a small cowl hood would look neato.

Do you have pics with the wheels on your car? I have a set in my attic, and will be putting them on my Formula soon. Want to see what they look like on a bird. Thanks. If you need to email them, send me a PM, and I'll give you my email address.

i kinda like that last pic. i tossed around a few colors when i painted mine. ultimately, i went yellow but i was also considering a gunmetal. i think gunmetal with black wheels/polished lip would be nice.

My car is black -w- silver racing racing stripes, and i was thinking of trying to paint it flat black with a clear on top then add my stripes to that. I wanted to find a black color that looks like a black car does when there is dew on it in the mornings. Does any one know what i mean?
