They can be tastefully done, but they can also make the car look horrible. Depends what type of flames and car. I like the flames to be more subtle and not stick out.

Those flames look sweet cus they dont take anything away from the car and add to its lines.....

yea i've always liked your car......i was referring to the car in the link not flames in general

 

Did you see all that was wrong with that car?? Oil sender broken but he still drives it, ABS rmoved, TCS removed but the computer still thinks it there. Oh yea, the flames are a little much.

 

Yeah, they look sweet Zack..............because of that word SUBTLE.

The car in the link above is NOT what I'd consider subtle ..........it doesn't look all that bad, but it's not something I would have done myself. I mean, I'm all about making a car look good, but sometimes less is more, and Zack didn't cross that line with the flames.

 

I prefer ghost flames, they are more subtle looking. Most flames look butt ugly. I went to a car-show last summer and saw some incredibly awesome realistic looking flames, wish I had a pic to post.

I LOVE FLAMES. I have ghost flames on my SS, but I like all kinds!

 

While the flames in the link you posted were done very nice - they look horribly overdone. Way too much - especially for that car...but, look at those wheels too, so...

 

flames are more of a nostalgic thing it seems and done alot on race cars, But ill agree a set of NICE ghost flames is hard to beat and zacks look great
