Flaking paint

Has anyone on this forum had a problem with flaking paint on the nose of their F-body? Mine has begun to bubble up and flake off for no apparent reason. If this is a problem that others are having, then I can call the dealer and inquire about a re-paint...otherwise I need to call a paintguy

Thanks!

Donna

Cool

That doesn't sound normal.I haven't really heard of that from anyone else.Is your car still under warranty? If so then the paint peeling should be covered.Good luck.

Flaking? Well, my car hasn't had that **knocks on wood**, but most F-bodies have a spidering problem (mine included ): lines that appear on the front facia and rear bumper of the car. I think this has to do with the plastic material moving or something.

Wait for some more responces, then check about a repaint. I've never heard of factory paint just bubbling and flaking from our cars.

it happens when the car plastic expands and contratcs in heat and cold. the olny way to fix it is to repaint it and do some really good prep work with all high end paints and primers. mine just started and it is a 95 you can get yours repainted at the dealership but make sure they do it over don't just let them paint it again have them strip it and start all over
