Fixing Interior

Anyways, my dash section below the windshield is cracked. Instead of spending $100 or more on a new one I wanted to know if it was possible to glue it together, brace it underneath, sand it down, and paint it.
Is this possible?
If so, what glue do I use, grit sandpaper, paint type, etc?
If not, what other options are there? I'd go to a junkyard but they don't let you browse around cars here, they inventory everything then charge you an arm and a leg for used parts...

You could always get a Dash-Topper.

That thing looks hidious

maybe you could try some online part yards that specialize in F-bodies. I've purchased from http://www.tacreationsusa.com/ and I highly recommend them. They weren't that expensive either

Well, maybe. I'll have to think about that one.
But any tips on fixing the dash, though?
I don't want it to be really shiny or flashy, i already have a hard enough time seeing whats in front of me without the sun reflecting off my dash. Well, it already does that anyway...
I just want it to be solid again, and not look ghetto.

I guess I'll see if I can fix it, if not I'll try used online.
Thanks for the links.

Did you say paint the dash? That is a death wish at about 330 on winter afternoon. Talk about dash glare on the windshield.

Really though, just buy a new one. By the time you actually do fix the old one and put it in, it will probably crack during reinstallation

I would just brace it underneath. Tht should make the crack much less noticable. Just get a piece of metal and epoxy it on there. Thats about all you can do without having to repaint it or something.

Hey,

I am a Roadshop manager at Circuit City. We have these little plastic repair kits. I cant remember what the company that makes them is called. I would call a Circuit City and see what they use. Or just try to search for "Plastic Weld Kit" on google or something.
