firehawk hood

How can i get the 98+ firehawk hood?

It is not listed in the Mitchell collision/ref. estimating guide for GM.
Is it SLP or something?

Yeah, Unfortunately it is SLP. But you cannot outright buy a Firehawk or SS hood from them. (As far as I know) to even try purchase one you have to prove you actually own a Firehawk/SS in the first place, and prove any damage that would require you to need a new hood (like police report ect.), then you have pay TONS of money for it. Your best bet would be to go for an aftermarket Firehawk style hood, unfortunately none of them look as good as the original. SLP Even offers a Ram Air HO hood, that was obviously based off the Firehawk Hood, but looks way more boxy, and not near as cool as the original.
Check it Out
The Suncoast Raptor Hood looks pretty great though, and may be as close as you'll get to a real FIrehawk hood:
Here

Good Luck

Well the hoods from Suncoast have optional heat extractors, so it still could be an option.

Theres a thread on the Firehawk section of LS1.com about an aftermarket WS6 style hood, with Firehawk-style heat extractor vents near the cowl. You might want to check this out. Regarding the SS hoods, you can buy them over the counter at your dealer, they are now available through the Restoration parts line, no VIN required (also SS rims, rear spoiler, suspension pieces etc., all this has been advertised in Chevy High Performance & other mags recently). Regarding the Firehawk hood, you will need to buy this from SLP, and they will require your VIN to prove you have a Firehawk. These hoods were only available on an exchange basis (you give them your damaged/destroyed hood, they send you a new Firehawk hood), but I'm not sure what the policy is now, now that production of the cars have ceased.

Good question, I've seen many threads on different boards saying which hood they like better. Stealthy guys like the firehawk hood cause it's lower and more round, but others prefer the WS6 style for it's higher more square look. Both look great. I'd call SLP and check, they are clearing stuff out now. The VIN # check is to insure not too many poser hawks end up on the road.
