Exterior accents on a black car..?

I'll be getting a new fbody soon, and even if its not the one I have in mind, its going to ultimately be black. I've done the black/orange thing, as shown in my sig.. but I'm looking to do something different.

The new car in question happens to be a black SS. I'm thinking a silver SS scoop like the intimidator SS, silver inner SS portion (where the red ring is still there) and silver RKSport CAMARO inserts. Does anyone have any pics of a silver/black Camaro for reference? What do you guys think about the color choice.. are they two different to smoothly contrast?

Hi There, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster...

I have a black car and was wondering the same thing.. I dont personally like stripes, so what I was thinking was adding brushed aluminum accents (i.e. Rear fill, nose badge with black bowtie, sail panels with black bowtie)

I think that would look killer, and Brent Franker has an awesome selection of vinyl graphics!

Thanks,
Rex

The black and silver/stainless steel theme works well. Thats what I went with on my car.

Black/Silver or Black/Red are the way to go. Sexiest combinations if you ask me.

I've done something similar, being black/orange and thats just really not something I want to do again (as much as I loved it, its going to be TOO much like it, you know?) The last thing I need is memories of a fallen fbody.

I've seen some black/silver ones and like how they look.. I just don't know if they throw off the sleekness of it.

same question here, i have a black ss convertible and it already has the red rear letters, and i must say i dont like them. i ordered some clear turn signals, need to get the rear bumper lights cleared too. i'm going to shave my rear panel and put a new SS emblem in the center. but the SS emblems on the fenders have red outline, would like to change over to silver with some overlays ontop. and i do like the idea of the intimidator scoop and maybe rear panel same color.

anyone have this color combo on a LT1 SS?

if it helps any heres some pics of my car-

those pics are from last summer but gives you the idea, she now has clear corners and it looks much better.

i personally think black and silver is a badass combo. My engine is all black powdercoat with MBA alluminum radiator shroud, fuel rail covers, alternator fan /pulley, polished TB, trickflow elbow... yadda yadda you get the idea. all silver and black.

this spring im getting a fresh coat of black paint, and changing up the look slightly. polished Z06's, lower stance, SS wing, WW GFX are going on and some dark tint.

thought i'd post these, the panel that came on the car was kinda broke so i put this one on, i had it lying around from when i put my custom one on my red ss. Not sure what to think about it, but i switched the 2 around so my custom one is on the black ss now and the red is back to the red car for the time being

Here's a pic when my car was black. I loved the look (all blacked out w/billet grill and chrome wheels) however- I hated keeping that thing clean!

sorry about the pic quality, but you get the idea. All black- knight rider style and maybe throw on some black z-06 wheels.

Wish mine was in as good of shape as yours Kingman. Maybe one of these days I could take a look at it in person. Got a few similarities between our cars. Gonna put my SS spoiler on once I get enough to paint the rest of the car, then keep going with my black/stainless/chrome theme.

ha so do i- that was how she looked last year. 2 years after finishing rebuilding her-

well.. since those pictures were taken, i put her into alight pole and destroyed the rims in the winter.....but... the engine got some nice mods, and she'll be rebuilt completely in 2 months- right now just primer, but just dropped 1800 on suspension parts, buying new rims/tires, and then in 2 months shes going to the body shop to be completely overhauled.

but def will have to meet up some point- not much of an F-body scene out here. Just moved last fall from Upstate NY and CT-
