Question Exhaust Question?

I have already posted this in the LS1 tech section but figured I would give it a go in my favorite forum too.
I got pulled over the other day and was told that my Loudmouth is illegal in CT. I took it to inspection and failed. Therefore I need to get a new exhaust. I was looking at the Magnaflow but have not been able to find much on it. So I turned to trusty CamaroZ28.com for the answer. Help me out please!! Thanks in advance.

I am guessing you do since you did emissions. Is it the noise? If it is noise, you could throw a Dynomax bullet muffler on there, before the axle, to tone it down a little.
According to the new state law in CT you cannot have an exhaust on your car that does not have a muffler after the axle less than 12 inches from the back of the car. Man I hate CT!!

A friend of mine has a 01 WS6 TA and he put on a magnaflow catback not too long ago. I think it sounds really nice, it has a nice quite sound at idle and when you get on it at above 3000rpm it sounds really nice. I have a flowmaster catback and it sounds quite a lot louder than the magnaflow. I am thinking of getting rid of the flow and getting a magnaflow now, since I have heard talk about how restricted a flowmaster is. I would altimately go with the loudmouth though, as I love how loud it is. Borla is just too expensive for me, else I would get one of them.
Anyway, I like the magnaflow and you cannot really beat the price. I was going to get one from a place off e-bay that was $280 shipped. Quite a number of guys run them on fbody.com and love them, some of them have soundclips too.

No. I really haven't even thought about how much I would get rid of it for. What do you guys think. It's just under a year old and in really good shape. The only thing is that the guy who installed it cut the exhaust and clamped it so that he didn't have to drop the rear axle. The cut is just in front of the axle and he did a really good job. The fu(king thing is LOUD and DEEP!!! I wish I didn't have to take it off.

I originally paid 300 for it and it doesn't have the LT-1 kit for it.

I've seen them go in the 100-250 range

IMHO I never really liked exhausts that look like magnaflow
I love my B&B and I like corsa, mufflex alot too

It's kinda quiet but I figure it'll be alright after the longtubes

I have Magnaflow and I love it. Deep toned, quieter at idle, then when you get on it great sound. Even better without the cats.
