Im gonna go to wrecking yard and pickup a set of some 97+ tails and work on a prototype. I know its going to involve an oven to separate the lens, so wish me luck, lol.

How do you plan on doing that? It seems it would be pretty diffficult to do a good job modding a stock set.

That should look really good. After you get done with the 97+ mod, I may try it on the 93-96. I think there may be a way to do it. Ill let your imagination when you are done and mine work together after I see how you do it.

Can you say - CLEAN!

I REALLY like that - and it is just because they look so clean - I actually love my '97+ tails, but I had to see what was going on in here, so...

Good luck man - keep us (or at least me) updated! If I can help, let me know - I would like to help you with that anyway I could, as I may be getting me an extra set of tail lights if you get it worked out.

I made my ambers red, I'll post a pic. Having disassembled a pair pf taillights I can say that what you are trying to do wil be very very difficult.

That does look pretty good.

Clean, and subtle... still stock looking, but different.

I don't see how you can 'bleach' the amber out of the taillight successfully though.

Its probably some kind of "film" that you can take out

Negative.

That is the color of the actual plastic.

Good luck on this mod. It will be VERY, VERY challenging.

My extra pair melted/warped when I did it. And even at that temperature, the housings would not seperate whatsoever.

Out of curiosity, what would it look like if you also took out the red? It would definitely be an alternative to altezzas. (which i dont like)

i like the above idea white out the whole light. that would look sick especially on a dark car.
