if you keep them on you have to move them, maybe do ram air emblems instead

 

Thanks jp. The only thing is ram air reminds me of firebirds too much. Do you think they would look better towards the rear of the cowl?! Thanks---

 

You could hit up one of the Moderator's, Brent Franker. He does some custom vinyling. Click on his screenname in the Moderator Area of the Appearance Forum.

I'm sure he can make stuff like "350", "Ram Air" etc....

 

The hood is nice and I like it but it does stand out since it's bulky. If I had that hood I would trying doing something to have it blend in like lowering the car to make it look a lil more aggressive, black out headlight covers, ditch the front license plate and put a black mesh grill and black out the foglights with a cover.

 

Thanks zo6z28!!! You had some great ideas, I appreciate them I really LOVE the hood and get a TON of compliments on it. I am about to get some eibach springs up on the front only, that should give it a nice rake I just bought a stainless billet grill, and think I am going to paint it black!!!! That would look great if I decide to leave the emblems on. Atleast stainless is strong---

 

Well personally, I wouldn't have that kind of hood cuz it does remind me of a T/A.....but if you like it then that's what matters. But the emblems just don't look right on it.

 

Thanks GT. What decals are you putting on....show us pics I agree with the TA resemblance thing!!! I personally prefer the cowl old school look but I bought the car for a good deal and it already had the hood on it , lol. The more I look at it the more I like it. Its just ALOT taller than the TA and has a nicer opening design IMO.

 

What do you guys think of the emblems being at the REAR of the hood instead of the front....like that guy in the other forum photoshopped for me a few posts down ???

 

Haven't gotten 'em from Brent yet......I just sent out the money order yesterday......some Chevy bowtie center cap decals for my rims, three silver "Z28" emblem overlays, a "5.7 LT1" decal for under the left taillight......and a throttle body plate decal that says "LT1"

They go on after the body work......I then will take her out for a formal photoshoot.

I don't much care for them where they are at. I was thinking if anything to stick them to the rear section and then you mentioned that idea Even that might be too much though?

Some people have mentioned getting some vinyl from me (thainks guys!) and I have a RAM AIR decal (not on my site) that is in the CAMARO font. If you think this might interest ya, shoot me an email and I'll get you a picture of it.

 

I also agree about taking them off. One thing that turns me off about them is how they are the 3D badges. Maybe vinyl would look better? I really think it just looks a little too tacky on there.

 

Thanks guys.....I always thought vinyl looked tacky, especially after it sun fades and peels off after a couple years, but I appreciate the opinions Thats sorta why I liked the 3d Idea, they lay super flat---

 

Well, I'm going to be devils advocate and say it looks cool! The point of "owning and modding" is to make it yours and make it unique from the rest. I like it. Do what YOU like. Dont base doing things on other peoples opinion. Personally, I have a 97 SS Spoiler on my 94 Z28 and a 96 WS6 style ram air hood.
