ebay find of the...wait... just wtf is a COPO Trans Am anyway?!

I've never heard of a COPO Trans Am, especially a 2001. Just what exactly is this? Is it special, or is it fake?

Sounds like this guy is trying to cash in off the COPO first gens. You could special order a 427 in a first gen through the "Central Office Production Order". I've never heard of a COPO 4th gen though?
