Dropping my car....HELP!

I want to drop my car about an inch or 1 1/2 and I dont have a clue what I need to accomplish this.....any suggestions? I know I need drop springs, shocks, and people have told me I need a adjustable pandhard rod. What exactly does it do? I am not going for awsome handling or anything just trying to achieve and good dropped look and keep the ride I have now atleast.

The panhard rod will keep the rearend centered under the car. When you lower the car it screws with the geometry a bit, so an adjustable PHR will let you adjust the rearend so it stays centered. Some people will say that their tires stick out about a half inch to an inch more on one side of their car after lowereing without an adjustable one.

Do I need the panhard rod? Also if I dont put new shcoks on my car how much ruffer will my ride be? The cheapest ive seen are like $400 bilsten shocks. When you say the rear end gets thrown out of line a ittle bit what side effects would this cause?

well, it might cause some binding in the control arms, but not much... I don't think you HAVE to have it.

I thought you wouldnt have to get those because its not that big of a drop. But like a 2inch drop is a different story. I could be wrong. Ive been known to be. haha.

I lowered my Z 1.75 and all I got was the springs and shocks. My back tires don't stick out. They look the same as before I lowered it and I got the shocks from Auto Zone, there sensitrac. So far my car feels fine (knock on wood, but I just lowered it like a week ago) and looks damn good lowered, I have a body kit too so that helps. I hope you don't need the pandhard rod thing, I don't even know what it is.
