The front part where the gauges and pass airbags are.

How hard/much is it to put in the piece that spans the entire length of the windshield? It's the piece right under the windshield. I cracked it when I put in my white face gauges! Thanks, John

It is just a couple of screws and some velcro, it is not hard except that it can crack just like your old one did. It is harder to take out without cracking it than putting a new one in, since the one you will be replacing is already cracked you don't have to worry about taking it out. You can do it! From the dealer they cost a little more than a $100 last time I checked about 6 months ago.
Good Luck!

Not too worried about part number, but how much did it cost....about? And how much of a pain was it to get the new one in? Any tricks or tips you can offer? Thanks, John.

If I have to guess, I would say $140 to $160, If you are lucky $120, it was not hard putting it in, just once it is in place press only the places were the velcro is, don't press down on the whole thing or it will break! If I had to guess how you broke it I would say it was when you were trying to detach it from the velcro, atleast that is how I broke mine. All I can say is it is not a dificult install as long as you take your time.

I got the top dash piece for 40 bucks shipped....but I think that was only because the guy didn't really know what they were worth....normally they run around 120 bucks or so new.....and it is hard to find them used because those crack a lot...

As far as replacing a dash, its not really that bad, just very time consuming....I had to replace my entire dash...air bags and all because of an accident, it took me and a friend probably about 8-10 hours to do...

Couldn't agree more. They look great, but a cracked dash is a real eye sore....just looks hoosie. John.
