DIY- improve side support on front seats

Has anyone tried this? I heard that if you take the leather cover off your seats that there is a way to bend a part on the seat frame. When you put the foam and cover back on, the side support will be more pronounced and give you a tighter feel when sitting. Can this be a cheap alternative to buying "racing seats?" If someone has tried it, is it easy?

I never heard of doing this but its a pretty basic idea. Bend the metal frame in a bit and it'll support you better. Not quite the same look as racing seats though, but you get the support you need.
