Disassemble LH Side Mirror

Disassemble LH Side Mirror
My driver side mirror got messed up. Something popped and now it doesn't stay where I want it to.
So I got a brand new aftermarket mirror off ebay to replace it and found out it'll cost about $150 to paint it cause of how much the paint costs.
So I want to just try to keep my original housing and just replace the mirrors. How would I go about doing that? I took it off my car but I don't see how the mirror would come off.

mine too...
its pretty easy to take the mirror outta the housing... just 3 screws that hold the plastic bracket in place.
My problem (with 2 mirrors!! grrr) is that one of the 3 metal wires that adjust/hold the mirror in place has 'let go' of the mounting plate that hte mirror sticks to.
If you can get a whole new inside assembly (which I think you have vash...) it should be pretty easy.
If you move the mirror all the way to one side, you can get a screw driver inside at the screws, you just have to adjust diff. directions so you can get a good angle on it.
hope it helps!
