Question Dashboard and console facelift? Everything rattles.

With over 100,000 miles my console and dashboard are pretty sad. The plastic surrounding the stick shift (automatic), the console, and the plastic where the cigarette lighter and the empty space are all lose and rattle constantly.

Does anyone have tips on giving the interior a face lift? Is there a certain glue that could help seal everything?

thanks

I am going to use dynamat and anything else I can do to keep mine from rattling. I will probably dynamat the larger areas, and use dynamat spray on the bottom of the individual pieces. Then use something in between where every piece joins and screws in.

I have a cutout, and it gets pretty freakin annoying.

locktight works good. it pretty much works on everything to. if you have pieces that move, WD40 can be your best friend.

I would also like to know what to do.

With 3 10" subs in the trunk, rattling can get annoying during certain songs.

How many screws hold the dash in? Where are they? I think I want to try and find then and just tighten them down; possibly use some locktight.

to many to list and put location.

just one day when you have time, just start ripping it apart. once you get pretty far, just locktight some of the screws and finish up. also use some double sided tape. it holds the pieces together and eliminates them touching.
