Hey, I just ordered a set of those and they look a hundred times better w/ that bezel. Where did you order the T/A bezel from?
And did you just cut out the left and right side of the gauges where all the SES and brake lights etc. are?

I odered the bezel from MacEwen .Link to exact propuct It took a while to get it from them, in fact I sent a couple nasty emails, but it turned out one of their shipments was damaged, so they were on a back order. When he got the new one he sent it overnight. I believe they're all caught back up now on orders.

I did just cut the corners out (4 pieces: top let icon area, top right odometer area, bottom left APS INOP corner, bottom right CAGS corner). The only thing that was indiglo that I lost was the "Unleaded Fuel Only" Light, big deal. At first I was scared cutting it out might damage the gauges, but it works fine

Something to watch out for: When I put in the overlays, the tach was getting stuck on the paper, all you have to do to fix it is loosen the left upper and lower screws holding in the gauges a little bit, works perfect now.

I think it will look sweet with the silver reverse glow gauges I ordered.

 

Those rings around the needles are gonna cover up the main indiglo part, take a look at my night picture to see the rings of indiglo I'm talking about. Also, you're now going to have not only the overlays, but also the bezel UNDER the needles, I hope there is enough clearence for both.

Carbon fiber is nice though, and can't beat 10 bucks, tell me how it turns out.

Yeah I'll probably have to cut the part that goes around the needles off. There is no way it will clear w/ the bezel and overlays. I didn't even think of that. [/ smacks self in forehead \] Oh, and the overlays I ordered are a little different than yours they don't have that light up ring in the middle around the needles.

 

I'm very interested in how your turn out, if the cut under the needles will look alright, and the fact that the holes in the bezel for the icons will be filled in with white(unless you cut the white off the overlay). If you get it to look nice, again, can't beat 10 bucks

 

I wanted to cut mine so they didn't have that extra part in there...I thought that looked tacky. I Just figured if I cut them, I might ruin them though. So I got a set of MacEwen's. I'm happy with them though...but honestly...these look AWESOME. I'm almost kinda regretting not giving the reverse indiglo's a shot at the scissors!.

 

yeah i know what you mean, I could tell by looking at the back that cutting the left side was alright, but it was the "unleaded fuel only" that got me sweating bullets. I wasn't sure if it all made a circuit or something, and cutting it would break that. But I guess that's not how it works.

I went to a local car show last night, and had many people ask about the gauges, especially when it ot dark out

 

I was afraid that if I cut it...I'd get GOO everywhere! Definitely looks good. I just dunno.....I like my MacEwen's...but these sure do look good. I hate the thought of covering my Macewen's up...or taking them off. I wonder if I could sell the MacEwen's after they've been taken off....They'd have to have new glue on the tape.

ANYONE interested in buying an 'almost new' set of White MacEwen's?

 

you have to glue those things??? I didn't know that, now I'm really glad I got the rev. indiglo, I can take it back to stock in minutes.

I figured when I cut them that if I messed up, it was only 20 bucks, can always get another. Although I am a broke college student, and 20 bucks is lunch for a week.....I donno, I have my priorities straight...I think

Another good thing about the indiglos, two colors, but I think the blue is 10x better looking then the green, if anyone wants a picture of green I can take one tonight

 

it's not really glue on.....it's just a peel off strip...I'm saying...if I took them off...the strip would need more adhesive applied. but that's it. I'm seriously considering it though.
