Wink Custom hood performance question

I am sure many of you have seen the camaro turbo hood for the third gen's. In my opinion i think it looks amazing and i do plan on dropping a turbo into my car. The only thing that i wonder about is that with my car priorities include speed first appearance second. I was really wondering as to what the advantages are to a ram air hood and how much is the diffrence performance wise between it and a cowl type induction like in the turbo hood. Any input towards my dillema is much appreciated

Depends on your engine. If it's carbed, or if you have an air cleaner up top, either hood would work equally. If your air inlet is towars the front of the car (TPI) Then if the SS hood's inlet is far enough to the front that would work best. If it is TPI though, a cowl would be basically cosmetic. Hope this helps.

That makes a lot of sense...well have to see anyways ill probably wait until i can save up enough for a turbo and then i might need the space the the turbo hood gives and theres my dillema solved right there
