cracked front bumper and scratches..
yea, because I did buy a used car, there were some places of *wear*
and yea, I've got a cracked front bumper, its a pretty nice crack all the way from the top of the grill area down to the bottom. so theres no doubt I need to get it replaced.
I got a price quote from a local auto body shop, and it was $685(bumper, primer, painted, installed, labor fees + tax included in this) with a factory reconditioned bumper which was $320. does this sound resonable? I'm going to drive around tomorrow and get a quote from another bodyshop near by.
I checked online, and found some stuff on ebay, wasnt very pleased with the prices compared to http://www.netbumper.com/index.asp?P...D&ProdID=24587
anyone ever gotten a bumper from there? because I just have these fears that its going to be some aftermarket bumper and its not going to fit right or somehow look like crap on my car.
I also have about a 16" scratch on my driver side door and a few other scratches on various parts of the car, its pretty deep, not just scuffs, but I dont want to pull out the rubbing compound if I dont need to, because I dont want to ruin my finish, anyone have any tips on how I might be able to get rid of this?
and, I've got some scuffs on my rear bumper where it looks like the previous owner backed into something, its a pretty soft set of scratches, but its still pretty noticeable since I have a dark blue finish.
anyone have any ideas tips?
(sorry for the huge *** post, trying to conserve and post in 1 thread =Z)
