Question convert LT1 front end to LS1?

I asked the question about blackouts in my other post, because I am considering converting my 94 front end to an LS1 front end. I recently rearended someone (damn ice! damn minnesota!), so this would be a good time to convert, if I wanted.

What would you do if you were in my position? Convert or not?

Anyone ever done this? How much will it set me back?

Thanks,

Nathan

well I also have a 94 camaro that I converted with theLS1 front end. And I also had some front end damage which was the major reason for doing the conversion.

Now you have to ask youself if you want all original parts, or if you are willing to go aftermarket... because there is a huge difference in the price especailly if you can get them all local. I was about to go with all aftermarket parts from a local shop and the parts were going to cost me about $800 or $900(sorry I cant remember)... but I didnt know how they would fit, so I instead order a whole LS1 front end (minus the hood) from www.speedautomotive.com ... and it cost me $1400 shipped. But I thought it was worth it for all original GM parts. It included the fenders, front bumper cover, impact absorber, headlight/foglights, and all bolts and brackets. The hood ran me an additional $700, but it is an original SS hood that was still in the GM box that I bought from a board member.

But check out any local junkyards, or parts stores, see what they got.. or even ebay has alot of parts for the conversion...but most are aftermarket... the actual conversion is easy though. good luck.
