There's a gray console out of a 98 to 2002 Z28 on ebay. Seller says it fits 93 to 2002 firebirds but only camaro's for 98 to 2002. Was thinking about bidding until I read that as I have a 94 Z. for the additional cupholders. What's the reason it won't fit? Item number: 8054952376

 

It will fit 93-96 no problem. There's a peg in the center bottom of the console by the cupholder. It's meant to help with horizontal rigidity. You'll have to either cut the peg off or drill a hole through the metal brace for the peg. Since it helps keep the console from swaying horizontally, I opted to drill the hole. The passenger side of the console won't fit perfectly against the carpet, you'll just need to shove some old socks or something under the carpet to puff it out and it'll fit ok. Also, there's "prongs" for a bracket that you can use to bolt the center console into place where the CD/Tape/Cubbyhole is in the 93-96 console.. if you look in the center, you'll see the bolt. Mine didn't come with the bracket for it, but I haven't noticed any negative side effects. I've actually been tempted to just cut the "prongs" for the bracket off. Overall, best upgrade you can do for a 93-96 interior.
