Confused on 90mm

I tried to post this in the other thread but got denied so new thread we go. The regular halogen Hella 90mm takes an H9 bulb, when Hella sells it as an HID it says D2S bulb...so are the halogen projector cases different from the HID projector cases, and if not do I buy the H9 kit or a D2S kit when converting the halogen versions to HID...I'm so confused

Do a search on google i found a complete guide on how to install HID's in a standard Hella 90mm. I believe it was a Mazda forum somewhere.

So I found this sight...

http://faqlight.carpassion.info/hella-90mm/

scroll down...

which explains how to convert the H9 housing to a DS2 bulb (like most other sights do), it tells how the DS2 bulb doesn't fit etc...but whats keeping a person from just buying a H9 HIT kit from say LEDgauges. Wouldn't this in theory just go into place without modification to the housing.
