Can anyone think of a good complimantary color to go with red. I was thinking white, or black. Anything else look good on a red Camaro?

 

Silver

 

I guess I'm one of the few that thinks on the exterior, yellow goes with red nicely... as long as it isn't over done I believe yellow overlays on the Trans Am emblems on the door and rear PONTIAC inserts would look nice and still not be ricey. I'm still debating on whether or not I should paint the inserts on the hood yellow or not. I'd seen a pic of an LS1 WS6 that went that route and I thought it looked sweet. When you look at the car, the yellow doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

That of course goes for a Firebird but I'm not too sure with the Camaro. I would think a dark silver or black would go with it best.

 

I'm using silver with my car... which is 8774 Flame Red...

 

depends on what you're doing to it. my choices would be silver and yellow, as long as the yellow isnt overdone.

 

If you are thinking about stripes...think white. TRUST ME. It's awesome. I had a red Dakota SS with white stripes, and it is by far the most commented on vehicle I've ever owned. There's a pic of it in my sig @ the bottom of page 2. You can't go wrong with white.

Then, as far as painting calipers and other accents...yellow. As long as it's in small amounts. That looks killer.

Black if you don't want to stand out.

Silver to stand out a little more.

White to stand out even more.

Yellow to say LOOK AT ME!!!

 

So far, white stripes is the way I'm going. Black stripes are good, but I like to stand out. I haven't seen the silver or yellow stripes on a red Camaro, so if anyone has pics of it please post them.

All those colors would look good. I personally think black and red is overdone. White or yellow would be my top picks. I am a sucker for yellow....but it has to be suttle, not everywhere.

If I were you I would go with Dark silver.
As for yellow I don't really go for the ketchup mustard look

i'd go w/ light silver or white. i've got a red and light silver scheme going w/ my rear inserts and ram air decal. i've got clear corners up front which help out the color scheme. i've seen red w/ black, but the car has black wheels and it looks real good. if you go w/ yellow, people might start calling you ronald mcdonald.

Take a look in my sig, I have red calipers and black drums. Also I changed my interior over to black and red leather and all the panels are dyed black. I don't really know if i'd like yellow, maybe just on the calipers but that would be about it.
