Complete suspension setup for the bird, pics

Finally went over to Sam's suspension (Superman's) shop. Sam did a complete setup on the whole car. Performed, thrust angle, LCA adjustments both sides to center wheels in rear opening, panhard adjustment (wheels set perfect on the body line of the car), pinion angle (-2.5), BMR tranny mount adjusted for front on torque arm, (Camber -1.5, caster +6 & toe=0), adjusted the baer bumpstop and final 4 wheel digital alignment. I have to thank LT4Firehawk (Evan) for his (camber, caster & toe) specs. The car feels great on the street with these settings. The car now sits with a higher ride height than before, but this greatly improves the cars ability to work the suspension now. You can stick 2 fingers above the front tires to the fender, 2 1/2 on the drivers rear and almost 3 on the passenger rear. Car works much better at this ride height, so it will probably never be low, low again.

Suspension currently on the car:

BMR K-member, BMR lower A-arms, BMR upper A-arms, BMR chrome-moly adjustable torque arm, BMR tranny mount, BMR extreme engine strut brace, BMR extreme LCA's, BMR weld on re-location brackets, BMR upper panhard mount, BMR chrome-moly adjustable panhard, BAER bump-stops, HAL 12 way adjustable coilovers at all four corners, HAL springs 150# linear rate rear & 300# linear rate fronts, STRANO 35mm hollow front swaybar and 22.5mm hollow rear swaybar.

Obviously with the spring rates/HAL's this a better street strip setup than an autocross/roadrace, but I could easily change out shocks & springs to compete in the other events.

All in all, Sams was a great experience and very professional. Pricing was extremely fair for the complete setup (I thought so at least). I would definitely recommend his shop for any suspension needs.

Thanks for noticing all the work, I'm from the tri-state are originally and I visit Indiana quite often. I actually might be bringing the car up north at the end of summer for a week or two

where is the coil that goes around the brake lines? That is needed for proper cooling of the brake fluid. otherwise that setup is sick. let us know how it performs.

I don't know about the cooling, always been told that is just an extra guard on the brake line. Later, I will have someone like classic tube just make me new polished stainless lines that follow the contour of the 12 MOSER. The lines on it now are just the polished stock lines that were on my old 10 bolt.

Thanks for the compliments on the setup

God that setup looks amazing. I plan to start saving up for more suspension parts this summer, I'd love for my car to look that clean underneath as well. Awesome job!

How does it ride on the street? Rough and loud? I've been wanting to put more power to the ground and have considered some of the things you got, but have heard the adjustable torque arms are loud?

Suprisingly, it's very docile and quiet. You can tell the suspension is tuned, but it's definitely does not affect the ride so much that you would regret the setup. I played around with the suspension a little on some twisty road and it handles very well. I can't speak for all the different combinations of F-body suspension, but I'm very happy with what I've done. The only noise I could hear was a slight bit of pinion noise, but that could be attributed to the darn MOSER rear end. I had to be at the right decel/accel point to even hear it (that is pretty good for a MOSER 12 bolt with 4:11's).

How do you like your Baer tracker tie rod ends? I thought about purchasing a set to help with bump steer. Thoughts?

Baer product work very well on the street. I'm quite pleased with the overall street manners of the car. My settings may have something to do with the overall package, but it definitely is not a noisy.
