Which Color Under Hood?

I have a gray car which fades to black (gray up front), and need suggestions on what color to use under the hood (STB, ect). I'm in the process of polishing practically everything metal. I also am thinking about buying on of those kits from autozone that covers up your stock hoses and makes them look like braided steel. Does anyone have experience with these (difficulty, time) or pics?

Any opinions? Surely someone has also used the braided line covers.

How's about you post some pics of that car for us? I would love to see the paint.

I've really been wanting to post pics, but I don't have a scanner, returned the digital camera I was going to get ($300 i can put in the car), and don't have a website to post them on. Whenever I get a chance though I'll put up pics as soon as possible. To give a basic description it fades to black in a checkered flag pattern at about the middle of the door. It also has a taller spoiler. Other than that, stock wheels , tan leather, and t-tops.

post your pics on community webshots-its free and easy. The braided line covers just slip over the exsisting rubber lines, just remove slip over and cut, very easy, I believe they even make hoses already covered. Personally I like to keep things simple and clean, if its to flashy it begins to look like crap. Since your polishing everything, choose a color that goes well with that and of course the car color itself. For mine being a siler color I choose black since its in abundance everywhere, but red or blue would have worked as well, but since I was only going to have a few underhood aftermarket parts, I didn't want everything to be black and silver with a red STB and TB cover plaate to be red, to me just having two things red and everything else different just clash--But I also think one or two color items might look good depending on what the part is and where its located.
Personally if it were me polishing everything up, then everything would have to be polished, intake STB, covers, alternator, etc.
Don't forget all the small areas like power connectors and wires, and power brake booster, and streeing shaft, etc. those all add up. do you have the fuel rail covers?

No I don't have fuel rail covers yet (want them, but no $$), so I'm just going to polish them. So far, I've polished the MAF, the metal brake hoses (under the hood), and all the metal connections/pipes that join the hoses together. I also plan on polishing tb, alternator, intake, and anything else I can find. What is community webshots, is it something on the board, or its own website. I just signed up for a cardomain site, but as of now I have no way to get the pictures onto the computer or net.
