Has anyone here switched the lights behind the guage cluster with brighter ones?

-What kind of blubs are needed?
-Is this worth it?
-Any place to get instructions to do this?

I want to do this because Im tired of my guages being half-assed lite up!! I dont want to change colors, I just want to make my guages brighter! Thanks!

I switched to a quad led bulbs in blue.
Big difference. You'll need #194 bulbs and one advice - don't get cheap on the bulbs. If you get $1-$2 once you'll be chenging them in a month again. I bought mine for $10 a pair and had them for more then a year now and the color stays the same as the day I put them in.

where did u get the bulbs from..any how many needed to swap it all out

 

got them off ebay - if you want I can look if I still have email adress of the person I got it from
you'll need 7 bulbs for the cluster in 93-96 or 5 in 97+

I got mine from www.superbrightleds.com (I got the single bulbs not the quad like cats). They're MUCH cheaper than $10 a pair even for the quads.

(The pic on page two is with green 194 bulbs from walmart, not the leds. I don't have pics of those)

Anybody know where I can get amber bulbs like in a WS6.
None of the other colors really fit in to my scheme.
