I just got my ss hood and im going to repaint the whole car.its med garnet red metalic,wa9913. question is what do you think of A, painting the headlight buckets the same color as the car,B,painting the buckets black(9700) then clearing them. i think it would be way easier to keep them clean if they were cleared. also im thinking about bergering the back, but it would be gloss black,unless someone knows how to clear black and make it look flat. i just dont think i want to deal with single stage paints. do they make a flat black in urathane? thanks

 

I would go with B, I HATE seeing a car with the buckets painted body color, unless it's a 30th Ann. SS

 

Option B sounds good as does the Berger effect.

Mine are gloss black, same as roof....I like it alot, check out page 3 of my site.

I do not like personally headlight buckets that are painted the same color as the car (unless it is black! ).

Also, each time I have had a 4th gen repainted I have painted the buckets gloss black. Much better IMO
