Post Clear SS Hoods!!!

Sounds crazy but I was thinking if there was a way someone could make an SS hood like the one I have already but just make it outa plexi glass or something? i dunno what do u guys think? Yea or Gay?

you would need lexan which is extremely expensive.

Sorry, extremely gay. I can understand them for shows (which is all they are meant for people) but in that case, why worry with a SS hood scoop? It won't be functional (or even look good) in clear plastic while it's sitting still.

Of course it won't be functional when it's sitting still. Hellono SS hood is functional sitting still. Besides an SS hood is more of an appearance item, than a performance mod, anyway. It's not very efficient for a ram air setup. A cold air kit has been proven to provide the same results, if not better.

As far as the clear part goes, I agree it probably won't look good, but it is a neat idea.

Just one of those ideas! Yea i dont care about the funcunality of the hood hell thats why i have a CAI, SS hood is for looks peosonally.
