What do you guys think about clear corners on a black car??? Anyone have a pic from a distance?

I just got rear blackouts FOR FREE from a guy at school and am thinking about buying his clears. Its a 95 with an orange paint job and puke green SS stripes (yes is looks very ghey)

 

I have them on all four corners. I am thinking about getting VHT nightshades though to black out everything instead.

i prefer blackouts on a black car because IMO they look better, and are cheaper (sorta). Whatever the case, clear corners will still look better than amber.

I have clear corners on my black Camaro and I really like them. I use to have blackouts but the cops kept pulling me over for them.

I'm split.

I think blackouts on a black car would look dead sexy...but the clear corners don't look bad either. Personal pref. on that one. It can go either way on a white car too...but that is a different topic.

I do agree that either would be better than the pukey ambers. Bleh...

Well so far no problems with the cops. When the lights are on you can't even tell the blackouts are on and I thinks thats all they care about. Thanks for the pics I think I will do it.

 

Nice car! Have you tried to replace the amber bulbs with Chrome Coated amber ones? It will eliminate that yellowish color from your clears you see in the pic, I have them and love em'

 

I havent had a problem with the cops yet, but my car isnt a daily driver. it sits at home in the pole barn most of the time while im 3 hours away at college

 

OH and I prefer clears BTW. I too love contrast. Subdued is nice, but it's really not my preference. I have clears and they are great. The are nice and chrome on the inside and I got them for $33 shipped. Not one problem with them yet. My car is blue though, pics are below.

I got clears on my car. Pics are in the sig. I say go with the clears it helps break up the all black. Also Megalis where did you get those bulbs at?

 

Also your car looks sweet. I love that color different than all the rest. I also love the Z06's. Now that your car looks so good its time to get them exhaust manifolds off.
