Clear coating calipers

I recently painted my calipers with a G2 brush on kit and put some 'Formula' decals on them courtesy of Brent Franker (they look very nice, as well as the other decals by the way) and was wondering if it's worth it to put some kind of clearcoat over the stickers on the front calipers? If so, is there any kind of brush on clear I could use on them to help prevent the decals from peeling? Really don't want to mask things off to spray. Thanks.

I'm sure you can use some engine enamel. I believe is good up to 500* maybe more. Just coat it well and evenly. That's what I plan to do. I just need to find some time.

when i did my calipers on my car i just painted them with engine paint and let them dry. I then put on my Camaro Decals and clear coated the whole caliper with just plain old clear coat spray paint. It's held up for over a year now and still looks great. I've found the trick to making vinyl decals stay put is to clear coat over them.
