Cleaning back of SS rims.

I have the ss rims, they have groves in the back of the rims and i have tried cleaning them with a sponge but still the remain dirty, would it be ok to hit this with a wire brush or something like that? Anybody have any advice on how to do this?

Don't use a wire brush. You need to get some wheel acid to clean those up. I've used an acid that you can't get in stores from a professional detailing product supplier and let me tell you, it's amazing. You can pretty much just hose off even the dirtiest rims. I don't know anything about the store brands, but I have a feeling they wouldn't be as strong but might do the trick with a little scrubbing. You could do a search for detailing products on the internet and order some full strength products from their.
