Chamaleon Blue/Green Formula's etc. How rare are they?

I picked up a '97 Firebird Formula last month for $5K, 103K miles. Had to replace tires/brakes/fuel pump as it had been sitting almost a year 6-speed works fine though!

Just curious how rare these are, and does the color make them more valuable/collectible?

hey guys. I have the same paint job. I was told it's called mystic teal, and that they only made 400 Camaro's with it in 96 and some TA's in 97, not sure how many though. Still very cool to have and it is awesome in the sun,, eh?

Mystic owner here Congrats on the car. As far as the color goes I have seen alot lately, I and two other v6's were all sitting at opposite street lights the other day. That was weird. But as far at the color and it being a Formula, I have yet to see one.

i have the only 97 mystic Z28 i have ever seen...must be rare. i have seen a 95 or 96 Z and a T/A and a v6 camaro and v6 bird and maybe 1 LS1 camaro since i have owned my car. the color really sticks out since it is about 1% of the cars on the road.

Cool

I'm pretty sure there is a small difference in the Chameleon and Mystic Teal colors.

The car in that pic looks teal like mine:

www.96-speed.cz28.com

I wasn't out for a particular color when I picked my car up but I'm happy with it. The sweet part about it is that it looks like a lighter color in the day and at night it looks very dark .

1995 Mystic Teal Metallic Camaro Owner

I see that my color isn't as rare as i thought it was. I currently reside in Ohio and was told that my car was originally bought in Arizona. It's a 95 3.4 V6 Camaro with 108k miles on it. The paint was fresh when I bought it but I am assuming that the car was either wrecked or run into at some point or another because there is a blend point on the right rear quarter that wasn't done well at all and it is beginning to look as though someone had taken sand paper to it. If anyone has any tips as to what I can do to get this mark to go away other than painting the whole vehicle please let me know.

My roomates father is selling his '96 Firebird (I think its a formula, not sure though but I know its a V8) with stock Blue-Green Chameleon. He lives in Marino Valley, CA. If anyone is interested shoot me an e-mail or something and I can hook you up with his dad and get details on the car.

Wow things sure picked up today!!!!

Yeah, It's looking as though from those pics, that Mystic Teal isn't the same color as Chamaleon Blue/Green...Maybe I oughta try that, call the dealer and see if he can tell me how many were produced. Yeah it looks pretty sweet at night when clean!

One problem I have, the front clip, from sitting, it's got crap all over it. Not very reflective at all. What can I do to get all the crap off it, I mean needs HEAVY DUTY cleaning. Meguiars Cleaner-Wax didn't take the crap off...

To the best of my knowledge B-G Chameleon and Mystic Teal are the same. When I bought touch-up paint from Dal, he said they have the same part number and the paint delivered said mystic teal on the cans/tube.

...as far as the "crap" , you may want to try a clay bar.
