I'm looking to upgrade to a 98+ Trans Am console for my car, but what do I do about the gear shifter? Mine has two places for drive, one for drive and one overdrive. Do I just remember what my gears are? I don't even look at it now but I want to make sure it's going to work before I send out the money to get it.

 

I replaced my 94 center console with one from a 98 Camaro and on the 94 selector it was PRN@D2 (@ being overdrive)... 98 has PRND321... So D is in the original @ spot now... Lines up fine.
