Center Console Help
If someone could help me I'd be very greatful.
I am taking out my Center Console, I unscrewed the four bolts holding it in, but when I goto take out the console, I can't seem to fit it over the E-Brake handle because the 'cd holder area' won't allow for the proper movement or room needed. Can I seperate that 'cd thing' somehow, or do I just have to brake it and buy a new Center Console?¿ LOL.....
I would also like to know if someone knows the best place (I.E. cheapest) to buy a new plastic piece where the power buttons are on the driver side (power window/lock and mirror adjustment). Any help is appreciated and Thanks in advance, Derek.

exactly off the top of my head, not really sure. Do a search for "console" and you should be able to find a few threads on this where some have removed it and put a center console from a 97+.

I'm not 100% sure as I've only done this on 98-up cars. This is how it is done in my car:
Locate the emergency brake on the center console in your car. You want to place the brake in a 90-degree (straight up) position.
You do not want to pull the brake with all your might to get it to be straight up. That is not how we go about this.
You will need a flat head screwdriver that is fairly long in length. Pry the rubber flaps apart on the emergency brake. On the passenger side of the emergency brake handle you will see metal piece that appears gold in color. This is commonly referred to as a "pawl". You will need to slide the edge of the flat head screwdriver in between the pawl and the cam with teeth and lift up on the "pawl". Once you have done this, the p-brake handle will lift straight up with little effort. After you've finished, just push the p-brake handle back down and it will be working fine.
Hope that will help you.
