Cat Scratched up my hood...What to do?
Ok here's the deal. I have been noticing more and more scratches on my hood lately. Then yesterday I saw the neighbors cat on the car several times. I went to sho him off and I noticed yet more scratches. This time worse! You can clearly see the two paw marks were it made the scratches. I took pictures of the cat on the car as somewhat proof. My car has the Mystic Teal Metallic. Can I get just the hood painted and it still match or will they have to paint the whole front clip or possibly the whole car? Also how should I go about getting the cat's owner to pay for it? I was told that the person's homeowners insurance might cover it.
Thanks, Jamie

Easy shoot the f*cker. I have bad experiences with cats and even posted about it on here. There really is no way to keep the cat off your car since, they are dumb and dont catch on like other animals do.
All you can hope for is that your neighbor will keep him put up.

If the scratches really are that bad and you have proof that their animal caused the damage then I'm sure you have an advantage in making them pay for repair. If they are considerate neighbors then I would perhaps talk to them and show them the proof of where the damage has been made to your car.
The Mystic Teal was pretty easy to have matched up for my repairs made over the weekend. I'll have pics up later tonight or tomorrow showing how well it matched. My entire nose clip and 60% of the passenger side was painted/blended and you can't tell at all. I have the paint code in the car if you want me to email the info to you? So that when you do go to have the paint mixed you can have a good mix. On my label it shows that its for the '96+ Mystic Teal paint code for some reason. The paint chips I saw for the newer models along with comparing to a friends '97 Mystic Teal Firebird you can obviously tell it has more of a green-ish tint.
