Now THATS a car you should not drive.

Hehe
Wow, we have confidence today!! We all are entitled to our own opinion, but saying stuff like that is uncalled for man. And then telling someone off because they have a stock car?? Wow, maybe he wants to keep it stock, think about that. I'll just keep my mouth shut about your car.

Well, say what you want about my car, but I think I have a right to be confident about it when:

I have spent 7 years working on it. I have done all of the work except the paint, airbags, and some of the interior stuff. That means pulling all of the suspension, motor, trans, rear, etc. to be plated, installing the stereo etc. I have spent ungodly amounts of money to make it happen, sacrificing much. When you people have done this, give me a call. So, yeah, I am going to gloat. It is a work of art, and it WINS at every show it goes to. Most people like the car, and the pictures do not do it justice. Ask the judges at Super Chevy show. When you get a top 10 editor's choice award at a huge 300+ car show with magazine cars all around you, again, give me a call.

Pathetic, absolutely pathetic.

It is funny how only flamers chime in when it comes to stuff like this.

That's not cool to come on here and diss the people that "LOST" to you at a car show.

I don't have a problem with cocky or rude... but that is just f'd up.

So you want to dissect things here a little do you?

First off - you have put in tons of work to your car, and it shows. You have something to be proud of, and you do have a right to be proud about winning this or winning that. You are very knowledgeable about things pertaining to these cars because, like you said, you done lots of the stuff yourself. There has been a few occasions where you were the only person who could answer one of my questions – and you answered them well. I think just knowing that you did most of the work to the car yourself and taking a look at it in the pictures anyone could vouch for the fact that you have a ton of work in it – not just those who lose to you.

But there is a difference between being proud and just being plain rude. I think your car is very nice, and it is definitely nicer in a show form than any of my cars, and many of the cars on this board – even my show truck. But there are things that I don’t like about it that I might say doesn’t look the best – just as you would have to say about any other vehicle aside from your own. That’s why it is yours. You built it to your liking, and to catch the eye of the judges, not every person walking the face of the earth is going to think it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread. Accept it. I don’t think anyone is discrediting your work – but you would be a heck of a lot cooler if you were to learn the meaning of the word humble. Hopefully – noone will ever decide to teach you the meaning of it and you will just pick it up on your on.

Now if you want to make fun of someone for having a stock car – you can be made fun of just as easily, since you can’t read.

I just get upset when I get flamed for having a little confidence in what I have done. I shrunk my sig, but sorry, it is still too big. I gave my $5 to support the board, so I hope it pays for my indulgence with the sig.

Understood - but there is a difference between confidence and cockiness/rudeness. That's what I wanted to point out. Even cocky isn't that bad when you got the car to back it up - but rude - everyone hates.

And the only reason I pointed out your sig was so you could see that it's not always that great to crack on someone. Anyone is a target for it, so there is just no sense in it. That's my point of view anyhow.

Nothing wrong with that. There is a lot of time, work and money in your car. Being proud of it is perfectly acceptable.

I shrunk my sig, but sorry, it is still too big.
Why not just put the info on your web site and link it to that?

I gave my $5 to support the board, so I hope it pays for my indulgence with the sig.
I really don't mean to be an ingrateful jerk, but...

The $5 was for an avatar (which I am not sure why you didn't get one). It is not for permission to stray from the guidelines that we ask everyone to follow (even me). If that were a trend, people would be giving us $5 to basically break a rule, which we won't allow, of course.

It is not about the money, it is about the principle and everyone playing fair. If I owe you an avatar, please e-mail me the one you want to use! If you do not want one, I will refund your donation with my gratitude.

Remember how I said that I didn't mean to be ingrateful? Well, we value you being here and contributing and we value your donation...really, but I hope you understand what I am saying. Either way I'd prefer that you trim that sig down or link to yur web site like I mentioned. I'll bet that if you specify a smaller font size, it should fit and no one can complain.

To all involved...

You are allowed to have an opinion, but you are also expected to express it in a constructive manner. Play nice.

Just haven't found exactly what I want yet. Like I said I support the board, and that isn't why I donated in the first place. I will shrink the font size on it. Just trying to keep everyone happy here.

Hey CC, I bet it was a strange feeling the first time you got in your car after installing the suicide doors. How difficult of a conversion is that and is it easier to get in and out of?
