Question Can you cut a body kit...

Can you cut a body kitwith out it splintering or cracking or whatever. I want to run a true duel side exiting set up in the future. I also want to mold a body kit on the car like pu12en12g has his body kit.
What i want to do is have the exhaust exit out of a stock(or similar to stock) looking tip in a cut out area of the body kit.
Does that make sense to anyone? If I really get my way im gonna have a black to red fade(bodykit will be black then fade to red).
Could anyone photoshop that(fade, molding and exhaust) if so that would be great. Sorry if this makes no sense. Thanks.

Yeah it's totally possible, especially on a urethane kit (which most are).. . but heat would definately be a factor..

Here is a rough concept... http://images.cardomain.com/installs...8_517_full.jpg

Good to know. The heat did cross my mind, would it be more damaging to the bodykit, or the surounding paint? Thanks for the photoshop, gives me a better idea. But i was thinking of putting the exhaust closer to teh top of the body kit(like right below the body of the car at the very end of the body kit. So i would cut the kit like |_____ in that open space would be where the exhaust tip would be. ( hopefully that makes sense). THanks alot though, gives me a much better idea of the "final"product.

I think it could be potentially damaging to BOTH the bodykit AND especially the paint... But luckily there are ways around everything and I think the final product would look and sound great.

I am not sure about the lack of exhaust tips in the back though... what did you have planned for that ?

I havent figgured out what to do in the back. THe xenon kit without tips is going to look pretty stupid. But i dont think it will look as bad with the DG, imo. But im not totally sure what to do back there. Any ideas?? But i have a few years before this would get done, so hopefully ill figgure something out by then. Thanks, and open for ideas.
