Camero Lettering

I have seen the camero lettering decals on sale but haven't seen them up close. Just in pictures or on cars going by. It is also available in vinyl or stainless steel.

Is there a big difference in the look and quality between the two materials. It is pretty much night and day when it comes to the cost of them. Also any problems fading, peeling or problems when washing the car. Since I have a black Z28, I was thinking about getting them to highlight the camero lettering for the front and back.

Thanks...

You've got to be kidding........

You've researched these things, and after looking at them for HOW LONG, you still can't spell Camaro?

To try and help you out, it kinda depends on the look you are after. If you are looking for a silver/chrome then you have the option of the stainless type inserts or decals. If you'd like to branch out a bit further like red, blue, white, etc., then you're better bet is vinyl. Also kind of depends on your budget. Like you said, the stainless stuff is a bit more expensive but it should be... more expensive to make

The vinyl, so long as it is the good stuff, will last you a good long time. 95_LT1_6SPD mentioned that I sell the vinyl decals (thanks!) and I use only the "good stuff" If you'd like to check out what I have, here is the web page...

I mentioned the stainless above. RK Sport also has a few items in urethane... like the rear CAMARO inserts. The problem with those is they are about $60 and last only about a year before they start to fade and crack. I've bought three sets of them and the only one that has lasted longer than that is the set on my garage queen

The vinyl is rated at 7 to 10 years exterior life. I'm not sure if they would look like NEW after that long though or not? I've had some itermediate vinyl on my 94Z since 1997 and it still looks like new. The vinyl I use is either one and most times two grades higher than that vinyl. That car is in the garage most of the time though so that matters too.

In any case, you'll get a good long life out of the decals and if you still have the car when they start to go bad on you, I think you'll be satisfied that you got your $8 worth

Ouch. I can't believe I not only misspelled it once, but twice. Thanks Brent for not only helping to fan off the insults, but for the link. The site pictures and instructions have helped a lot. Definitely expect a payment from PayPal soon. Plus I enjoyed seeing all of the appearance mod photos on the site.

In hopes to help cover for my moment of stupidity, my son's name is Cameron (Please, no insults on my son’s name, it’s Celtic and can be both a male and female name. He was named before Cameron Diaz became popular).

Anyway, ever since I had bought my Camaro last August, I cannot tell you how many times I have caught myself misspelling Camaro. It was just a matter of time before I would stump over it publicly in a forum. Wow, the board's ruthless. LOL. Actually it was a bit funny reading 4 posts in a role before anyone chimed in with an actual response. At least I eventually got the post answered and got a great link. I bet after this, I will be carefully proofreading for sure.

Thanks...

You are forgiven people make mistakes

Also, I know a few friends named Cameron, and they're guys. It doesn't seem to be too rare.
