camaro switch panel
camaro switch panel
hey ive been doing some searching but not turning up anything i can really use. i want to mount some switches in my 94 z28. i wanted to make something to cover up the console storage compartment so i could make some sort of panel where switches could be mounted. i have seen pictures of some people's setups but have no idea as to how i could even start a project like this. anyone do something similar? any ideas? i want it to look clean almost as if it came from the factory. thanks and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: camaro switch panel
The ones you saw were from rlsport but they were discontinued awhile back. The only choice you have is to get either a sheet of plexiglass or stainless steel and make your own panel.
Making your own isn't that hard just take your time. I made like 5 for one of my friends. he kept changing his mind on where he wanted his gauges...

Re: camaro switch panel
hey thanks a lot for the reply. actually i am in mid process of fitting the plexiglass right now...kinda odd that i would read the post right after i bought all the supplies. i also got some black paint for plastic that i was going to spray it with. after that if i like how it fits there is some carbon fiber look a like adhesive (seems basically like contact paper to me) that i might cover it with. if that works out im going to "carbon fiber" the reducer plate for my cd player too so it at least matches something. i was planning on making the panel cover the entire front of the lower console...from the cigarette lighter to the end of the storage/tape compartment. hopefully it works out. if so perhaps ill post some pictures. thanks again for the reply.
Re: camaro switch panel
No problem, by the way I also used the carbon fiber look vinyl on my radio bezel Just contact brent from this website http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/vinyl/vinyl.htm he more than likely can get you a better deal on the vinyl than anywhere else.
