Bumper Question

Im wanting to put the newer style rear bumper on my 93, do I just need the rear cover to mount it or do I have to get all those metal bump stops and everything behind it to? Also the newer high rise spoiler that will just bolt on to right? What about the 97 front bumper with the lights in it, will it just snap on to?

Re: Bumper Question

You can't just "bolt on" the high rise T/A spoiler. The Formula spoiler is integral with the hatch and can not be removed. You need to get a complete hatch/spoiler from a T/A.

I didn't think there were any changes to the rear bumper covers over the years. Or do you mean you want to replace your Formula rear bumper cover with a T/A rear bumper cover?

The front covers are also interchangeable between the 93-97 Formulas and T/A's. They dont just "snap on"..... there are lots of screws, clips and studs that need to be accessed for the removal and installation.

Re: Bumper Question

Sorry guys should of described what I am trying to do better. I am going to replace the rear bumper cover with the T/A rear bumper. Can I just bolt up the bumper cover or do I need the bump stops and everything? As for the back spoiler I was going to replace the whole rear hatch. It will bolt on with no problems right?

Re: Bumper Question

oh wow, didnt even read the part about replacing the spoiler with the high rise t/a one lol. but yeah the whole hatch will bolt up, and the rear bumper should too. if you're gonna use the factory t/a foglights on the front youll need to get the brackets for that, other than that it should be good to go on.
