bright foglights?
bright foglights?
Are there any bright bulbs that go in the stock foglamp housing of a 93 - 97 Camaro? I have Silverstar headlights but still have the yellow foglights(looks hideous IMO). Thanks in advance guys.
I can't remember for sure but Sylvania (silver star) is coming out or already has foglights for our cars check a oriely's auto store they will either have them or will be able to find out for sure
I think you'll find that most here will tell you (including myself) that the stock fog lights are almost as bad as the stock headlights and that you'll be better off going aftermarket for a whole new light, not just bulbs.
However, that being said I would try to find out if Luks makes bulbs for the stockers, as I've really come to like the ones I use in my FF75's. Either those, or something like the Sylvania's already mentioned.
Failing that, I would highly recommend getting a set of Hella FF75's and mounting those as foglights. That's what I'm using and the only regret I have is not doing it sooner. They blow the old foglights away and make driving at night way better than with just the headlights.

im going to be buying some piaa 810's i think. that might be the number. its the ones on www.projecttransam.com
Sylvania does not produce a 885 Silverstar bulb yet, they do however produce a Silverstar 893 Bulb. I have seen them at all the local auto parts stores - so if you are wanting them to match - that's your best bet.
If you are gonna try and get brighter with the stock fog lights - you aren't gonna get much difference with any 885 bulb you can buy (white or clear). You can't get an 885 bulb in over 55w - so you are limited.
If aftermarket fogs are an option for you, then there is an inexpensive alternative in my signature. You can make them bright - and they come brighter than factory out of the box, and they are white. You can get up to 130w H3 bulbs I believe.

I have the FF75s as well, replacing my stock fogs with their driving light. They make a fog pattern too, though.
It is a wonderful housing for only $60 with bulbs and wiring/relay, from Advance Auto.
I put in a 100W Luks bulb and it is brighter than my low beams and close to my low+highs.
I imagine their fog housing would be great for cutting fog down too.
I had Eurolite Xenon 893s in my stock housings for awhile, until they burnt out. They seemed brighter than stock, but at $20... not really worth it when they burn out so quickly.
