Brangeta's topic about 4th gen Camaro history
Not ready to add this info to my site yet, but I found this ad in a 1994 magazine I purchased off ebay last week. It's the Sport Back hatch for Camaros before RKSport either bought the company out (or just decided to completely fail to mention that AutoEx made these). Whatever the story is, I thought it was a really cool ad.

Here's a pic from RKSport's site and one from car domain of the piece on a car.

I think the AutoEx design might be a little different, because I don't see how two girls could comfortably get their torsos out that small rear window.

Hey Brangeta, thought you might like to see this:

Small update...
I've officially laid to rest the possibility that ANY '93 Camaros came in Medium Quasar Blue Metallic. GM records show the paint color as being available, however this is an error and ZERO were produced. So ZERO 93 Camaros were this color. End of story!

Updated the SLP RS page with a complete (as complete as I want to go) production break down. Really exciting and interesting info. I can't believe how rare certain cars are.

As always, I am still looking for pictures of color combinations that are not already represented on the page.
If you have a picture of one of the convertibles, send it NOW!

[QUOTE=Brangeta;6073709]Fbodfather told me about an SS that accidentally ended up with Y3F. I believe it was navy blue. I'd have to find the PM.
I saw a NBM SS on a dealer lot several years ago with the Y3F ground effects on it. This was in Cleveland. I can't be certain it was a factory install, but the car appeared to be 100% factory stock.

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see any Camaro with ground effects. All anyone would have to do is open the GM Accessories brochure and order them. Unfortunately, unless I saw the RPO code sticker and had the VIN, it really wouldn't be that earth-shatteringly interesting to find that car. It'd be neat to find it, but far cooler to find a lot of other rare ones, like the only 2000 made in hugger orange... for what reason... I don't know.
Unfortunately I didn't look close enough at it, and honestly I wouldn't have known what I was looking at anyway. I really wish my friend hadn't balled up his purple 97 Z. The thing was an M6 hardtop with leather, but had crank windows. With the rarity of the purple in 97, combined with this strange option, it very well might have been the only one made. Nice work on the compilation, by the way.
What do you mean balled up?
Did he wreck it?
I saw a BPM '97 today for the first time since 1996. I'm dying for a low mileage Z28 in BPM. This was a V6 and had peeling paint.
Thanks for the compliment!

Balled up... You know... Like "we hit a wall so f***ing hard my b@lls crawled up inside me to avoid trauma." But seriously...Balled up as in lost a wheel at over 125 and stuffed it into a highway divider. I was riding shotgun, so I can attest to how bad it sucked. Bent the car end to end, shoved the motor into the firewall, buckled the floorpan right behind my seat, and twisted the driver's seatback about 45 degrees. Hell, even the passenger side door skin ripped clean off the inner structure. Found the offending wheel about a quarter mile away. I'll see if my buddy has any pics, not that they'd be of much use to you for the purpose of this thread.
This is something I don't remember ever seeing or noticing before. This Camaro has power locks, but not power windows. Normally all you see is power locks + power windows, or manual for all.

This pic is of a '97 Z28. I checked the VIN, and it has AU0 (keyless entry), AU3 (power locks), A90 (keyless hatch release), and lacks A31 (power windows).
Very interesting. If anyone happens to have a '97 brochure, it'd be interesting to see what package they didn't get. I assume their lack of leather covered steering wheel is part of what is the missing package...

My '96 v6, no power windows had the same thing. I actually have never seen a 4th gen with manual locks... not to say they dont exist. Unfortunately I sold the car so I have no info on it.
Maybe it's more common than I thought. I dunno. Not going to research it yet.
The ones with manual locks just have a blank panel there. Here's a 1LE that I just found for sale (with only 68 miles on it if you can believe that). You can see the blank panel there vaguely.
