Body Colored Grill?
Body Colored Grill?
Just got this Z, front clip was repainted and the painter disregarded the fact that it is supposed to be trim black, among other things. Just took the plate cover and fogs off, and I'm not sure if I like it or not. What do you think?

The bowtie won't work with body color, only black. Thing is, it's much easier for me to fill the holes in smooth and paint it black than it is for me to fill in the holes and paint it body color. And I really want to fill in the holes.
And here's my painted calipers for your viewing pleasure.

Im getting ready to paint my bumper cover.. I almost like the color matched lower portion better.. i think the bowtie could work if it were black maybe? Maybe a black bowtie thats a little bigger.. and as for the fog lights.. it looks clean either way.. wiping the grime away from the bracket holes might help a little bit

I think an old school Z/28 would look nice there, but I'm pretty sure those can't be bent.
I tried spraying the bowtie gloss black and didn't like it....I'm going to try trim and see how I like that.

Yes, they were, though my car is not 1LE.
I'm going for some variation of this now (with the holes smoothed and repainted):

I chose the 2nd generation badge because I own one and I think that design wise, it more closely resembles the 4th generation.
That's just a few chops, the real thing should look better
