finally changed the lights in my cluster, i gotta say it looks pretty sweet. shoulda done this a long time ago. i love how it matches my fuel press. gauge.

i just have to change the lights in the shifter plate, ac controls, and the lights on the doors. only thing is im gunna have to cut the wires off the original housing and solder them to the new led's?

also the light bulb for the light controls is some insanely small bulb that i have no idea how the freak im gunna do that one, i thought it was the same as the other ones besides the cluster, but its not...

any one know what size bulb that is, i know the cluster is 194 and the rest are 74 but that one is just way to small....

hmmmmmmmmmm, this might be something that I'm gonna have to look into doing. How hard was it to do? What are the other bulds/leds you used, if ya don't mind me asking.

it wasnt that hard at all, but i have a 99 n the cluster comes out in 5 mins. since u have a earlier year 4th gen you have the 2 bolts on top of the cluster under the dash pad that are a bia to get to haha.

but if you have the time and patience to get those two out (and leave em out haha) you'll only need 5 led's. part number 194. to get the dash lit up. just go to superbrightleds.com thats where i got em all from. it looks so much better though...

well I do have my 97 slownoma to drive around, and I've had the dash outta that thing before, but I sounds like something I need to check out my book and see how hard it seems readong through that to get the dash out, I'm really not a fan of red gauges in a green car. Thanks for the info, and love the way it came out, and I thought it was cool that the vw's had the blue gauge lights.
