black hard top on a white car?

i didn't know that the hardtops are black on a non-black car?

is this only on the SS?

 

Earlier 4th gen Z28's like my 95 have a black hardtop and mirrors. Became an option in 96 I think to get Z28 with body colored hardtop and/or mirrors.

 

i read, where i forgot, that all SS hardtops from 1998 to 02 have black tops. never knew this.

I've got a 94 z28 with a black top/mirrors. I was wondering the same thing.... other than mine, I've never seen one like it that didn't have t-tops.

 

i had black mirrors and black top but i painted the mirrors and the front where the lights are so only thing black is the roof

 

My 95 has white top and mirrors but it has t-tops, still apply?

 

all t-tops are black

 

i think he means the sail panel is white...obviously the t tops are black

Before I did my T-top conversion the roof and mirrors were black and and the car was read. after the T-top conversion, the car is red, the remaining roof panel is black and so are the mirrors, its a nice color combination.

 

Untill 95 there was no option for monocrhome roof and mirror paint. Do a search on it, forget who it was but they listed the run down entirely on how it worked over the years.
